Gauteng Premier, David Makhura together with the MEC for Infrastructure Development, Jacob Mamabolo will on Tuesday, 26 March 2019 attend a sod-turning ceremony of the University of South Africa’s (UNISA) new learning centre.
The centre will be built on land donated by the Gauteng Provincial Government as announced by Premier Makhura during the State of the Province Address in February.
“As part of our Rapid Land Release programme, we have transferred a vacant land parcel in the Johannesburg Central Business District to UNISA for the establishment of a learning resource centre,” says Premier Makhura.
The centre will provide core services such as academic literacy, counselling, library services, technology enhanced learning, tutorial services and student administration to students in the Johannesburg CBD.
