Babes Wodumo appears to be making headlines lately for things occurring in her personal life rather than her music.
On Sunday the Wololo hit maker posted a tweet that alluded to her suspected break up with fellow musician and boyfriend Mampintsha.
The tweet read, ‘Moving on from kwi Abusive relationship is not easy.’ Earlier this year Babes, real name Bongekile Simelane, live streamed on Instagram Mampintsha being physically aggressive towards her.
The video went viral and she opened a case of assault against him only to withdraw the charges later on.
The couple appeared to have reconciled after settling the matter out of court and using the backlash they both endured for a new song ‘khona iyngane layindlini.’
The recent tweets, however, suggest that there may be trouble in paradise. ‘I’m finally free from that controlling monster’, is the last thing she tweeted but she doesn’t mention the name of the so-called ‘controlling monster.’
