14 February 2026 – Kibler Park
Residents of Route 82 Security Village in Kibler Park were left terrified after an armed gang carried out a brazen early-morning attack inside the complex.
The shocking incident happened at around 3am on 14 February 2026, when an unmarked vehicle carrying six armed suspects entered the estate and overpowered security guards on duty.
The gang then moved through the complex, stealing two Volkswagen Polo Vivo vehicles. A third vehicle was nearly taken, but suspects fled when an armed response team rushed to the scene after a security guard managed to trigger a panic button.
In a chilling moment during the raid, one security guard was taken by the suspects. Police later recovered the guard unharmed but severely traumatised.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community and raised serious concerns about access control and visitor management inside the estate. Resident leadership warned that allowing entry without strict verification, such as pin codes, creates dangerous loopholes criminals can exploit.
Residents are now forced to cooperate with stricter security measures aimed at restoring safety across the complex.
Community leaders say protecting families and children at Route 82 Security Village is now a top priority following the terrifying ordeal.
