Stillborn dumped in a stream

A body of a stillborn baby was found recently between Tladi and Naledi, Soweto in a stream next to the railway line. Community members saw the still born and reported the discovery to the Naledi police immediately. 

Currently the local police are investigating the matter but the gender of the baby is not disclosed, the body of the baby was found in a very bad condition. 

The South African Police Services released a media statement after the horrific discovery, “On arrival at the scene, the police found a body of a stillborn, the age of the baby could not be determined. The body was in a very bad condition. It is not clear at the moment who might have dumped the body. A case of inquest was opened at Naledi Saps and the police investigation is underway, no one is arrested at the moment.”

The local police advised that should anyone have information they can contact Naledi SAPS on 011 527 8600 or the SAPS Crime stop line on 08600 10111.
