Controversial businessman, and former BOSASA CEO, Gavin Watson was scheduled to testify at a tax inquiry but died before he got the chance do so.
Watson died last Monday morning when his car collided with a pillar near OR Tambo International Airport.
His funeral was held yesterday, Tuesday, in Port Elizabeth and was attended by prominent figures such as Jacob Zuma and other ANC members.
Zuma expressed his deepest condolences to the family and reflected on how Watson contributed towards the defeat of Apartheid.
The former president also expressed his concern for those close to him dying mysteriously.
An investigation into Watson’s death is still pending.
