ANC members and supporters, from the Limpopo province, arrived in Johannesburg on Monday to hand over a memorandum that demands the reinstatement of provincial treasurer Danny Msiza and deputy provincial chairperson Florence Radzilani.
The handing over of the memorandum took place outside the Luthuli House where it was received by ANC secretary general Ace Magashule who was accompanied by Tony Yengeni and Ronald Lamola.
The initial speech was given by Capricorn District Municipality Mayor John Mpe who strongly criticized the Integrity Commission’s failure to communicate with Msiza and Radzilani after being asked to step aside by leadership, almost a year ago, in the midst of being allegedly implicated in the VBS Mutual Bank scandal.
Mpe boldly stated, “That integrity commission as we speak has no integrity”, before breaking into song and allowing for the memorandum to be read out loud.
‘We have watched with great concern the developments around the case of the provincial deputy chairperson and provincial treasurer both comrade Msiza and comrade Radzilani. It has become clear that the 2 comrades are subjected to a nefarious agenda aimed at displacing them from serving our movement. There seems to be no will to attend to their matter by the organisation’ reads the memorandum.
Magashule concluded the gathering by stating that they would convene a meeting afterwards with senior members, of the ANC, at Luthuli House and revert back in due time.
