A body of a woman was discovered in the Klipspruit River opposite Klipspruit extension two, in Soweto. It is suspected that the woman was assaulted and blindfolded with a cloth over her face.
Her body was allegedly thrown into the river and was reported to have been wearing khaki trousers and a white top.
“We appeal to any person or family member that might have someone, within their family, who went missing to go to the Diepkloof government mortuary in order to identify the body, or they can come to Moroka police station,” said Captain Khoza spokesperson for Moroka Police Station.
