A quote I once read, “Live the poetry you can’t write”, left me in awe at how artistic it was structured and truthful too but listening to Pilani Bubu’s music is a reflection of how she actually writes the poetry she lives and basks in. A name that might be popular only to soul and jazz lovers this gem is definitely one to look out for.
Bubu is set to perform at the Untitled Basement in Johannesburg on Thursday, 27 February. “It will be an eventful night that will be complimented by pathways and Journeys that have led us all to be at the present moment”, she explains.
Her latest offering Folklore: Chapter 1 is already out and jazz lovers can feast their ears and feed their souls.
