Laura Events cancels #LoveOnLockdown competition

Laura Events has cancelled #LoveOnLockdown competition give-aways due to couples not participating on and off social media platforms.

Laura Events founder Laurica Lepitla told Gauteng News that their main aim of holding the competition was a way of giving back to one lucky couple on Valentine’s Day.

“Lockdown found many couples having to re-adjust and some had to cancel their planned engagements. That is why Laura Events launched #LoveOnLockdown. Unfortunately we did not get enough respond from the public. Our plans of giving a couple that has won a gift had to be put on hold”, she added.

Lepitla said they were expecting at least 50 couples to participate on the competition.

“I think what made them to do not participate is because they were scared of sending their videos on social media platforms. Maybe some would have preferred to send a letter rather than a video. It is also January and people have shifted their focus fromfestive season to January mode. Anyway we have planned something amazing for Mother’s day despite failure of #LoveOnLockdown competition”, she said.

Lepitla said there are great projects lined up so people should keep checking out on their social media platforms which are Facebook: Laura Eventz, instagram: @laura_eventz and website: www.lauraevents.co.za.
