High performance clinical centre construction complete in Pretoria

The construction of 11,000 square metre surgical hospital worth R470 million named Cintocare hospital, is complete at Menlyn Main precinct in Pretoria.

According to Growthpoint Properties Limited the hospital will focus on neck surgery, vascular, spinal and head.

“It ranges as fifth high performance hospital in the world, with business model and clinical mix. Construction started in July 2018 and this hospital is the first of its kind. It incorporates different sustainable design and management features. Cintocare hospital is Africa’s first certified green hospital and earns five Green Star Custom Healthcare design certification from Green Building Council South Africa (GBCSA)”, statement read.

Growthpoint said Cintocare has seven levels which involving three clinical with five theatres, consulting levels with 15 rooms and three parking. It said thatservices offered are swallowing therapy, physiotherapy, pathology, radiology, audiology and speech.

“There are different kinds of surgeons offered which are maxillofacial, oral, neuro, spinal, ear, nose, throat, plastic, reconstructive and vascular. There is also presence of physician specialists, pediatricians and intensivist. Cintocare is the first hospital to generate its own oxygen in South Africa. It uses installed PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) plant”, statement read.
