Ekurhuleni learners experienced fever in All Start Games.

The City of Ekurhuleni representatives together with some of the Gauteng All Star talent, visited schools in Ekurhuleni to raise awareness for the womens’ soccer tournament and gather support for women’s football.

Schools like Geluksdal Secondary School in Brakpan, Reshogofaditswe Secondary School in Tsakane, and M.O.M Seboni High School in Duduza and Zimeleni Secondary School in Kwa-Thema were among the schools that were visited.

The Gauteng All Star Games took place on Saturday, 23 March at Tsakane Stadium.

The tournament featured four teams led by former Banyana Banyana soccer stars, Janine van Wyk, Portia Modise, Keneilwe Mathibela and Simphiwe Dludlu.

The four teams each consist of current players in the Senior National Team (Banyana Banyana), players in the U20 National Team, players in the U17 National Team, players in Sasol Gauteng Women’s League and Banyana Banyana Legends.
