Emdeni house burned down to ashes

A house in Emdeni at Sondela Street, Soweto burned down recently and the family is desperately seeking assistance or donations from community members as they have lost everything in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and family members are frustrated as they need to re-build the house from scratch. During the incident neighbours managed to call the department of Emergency Management Services (EMS) but it was too late for the family to salvage anything as they watched their home burn to ashes.

Nombulelo Mvulane is the sole provider and she survives by doing odd jobs to support her family and with the festive season approaching Mvulane is desperate to rebuild her family home since it was bequeathed unto her after her parents passed on.

The family is still shocked by the incident and they further explained that the electricity in the house was well installed and connected, and before the incident both the heater and stove were not switched on.

The family is pleading with community members to help them with blankets, appliances or food donations.
