Cold front to hit Gauteng on Wednesday

The South African Weather Services (SAWS) has warned Gauteng residents of an upcoming cold front. 

The weather services said cold front will emerge from the Southern parts of the country.

“Mountain waves can be seen on the satellite image over the central parts of the country with the strong north westerly winds ahead of the front.

“A cold front has made landfall over the western parts of the Western Cape.

“Continuous rain and scattered to widespread rain showers are expected to persist from Monday into Wednesday.

“Flooding is expected today over south-western parts of the Western Cape,” according to the SAWS.

Temperatures will drop to 0 degrees Celsius and 12 to 13 degrees Celsius highs.
