DIRCO minister to reconsider Koloane’s appointment

Minister of International Relations and Co-operation (Dirco) Naledi Pandor has requested a meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa to talk about ambassador to the Netherlands Bruce Koloane.

Koloane confessed at the state capture inquiry that he pushed for the illegal landing of the plane with the Gupta wedding guests at Waterkloof Air Base.

Speaking to Eusebius McKaiser, Minister Pandor says the Koloane matter is serious.

“Ambassador Koloane is in his last six months of his term and he was not appointed by President Ramaphosa or me.”

“I don’t have, at the moment, a decision as to what should be done, but I do believe the matter is serious enough for me to approach the president and say to him should we not consider particular actions,” Pandor added.

I think we should reconsider his appointment and that is I want to discuss with the President.
