City of Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba together with Department of Housing MMC Meshack Van Wyk handed over 179 sectional title deeds to residents of Eldorado Park, in Soweto.
Mashaba said they were able to provide residents of Morenaberg Court and Sneeuberg Court with dignity of home ownership.
Wyk added that this was done through occupation of its housing stock, which is ensuring the reality.
“The schemes form part of township, Eldorado Park Extension 2 and was built in 1976 with funds advanced by National Housing Fund and paid by City over a period of time. Morenaberg Court have 6 blocks of 2 bedroom flats Sneeuberg Court has 5 blocks with a majority bachelor flats and some 1 bedroom unit”, said Wyk.
