A 54-year old man was shot dead on Wednesday night by unknown suspects in his doorstep at Nobuhle hostel, 6th Avenue in Alexandra. It is alleged the deceased, Dlangamandla Xaba was a taxi owner and a hostel headman at Nobuhle hostel.
Dlangamandla’s elder brother, Mpisi Xaba says it is hard for him to accept the tragic death of his brother.
Xaba added that his brother will be laid to rest in his hometown of Ladysmith in KwaZulu-Natal, however, they are yet to finalise the date.
Alexandra Police spokesperson, Sergeant Mbatha says a murder case has been opened.
The latest killings in the area comes despite police proclaiming to manage the curbing the spate of killings in the area, including that of two men who were reported to have been killed in the area.
