The beautiful and courageous Gretha Garnett is hoping to win ‘Mrs Africa 2021’ title. The grand finale will be held at the ATKV Buffelspoort resort near Hartbeespoort in the North West Province on the 21st of November this year. She aims to showcase her true beauty that shines from within and to celebrate every woman in their unique femininity.
Born and raised in Polokwane, Garnett relocated to Johannesburg. Gauteng News caught up with the bio-kinetic degree graduate to share her desire of being crowned Mrs Africa.
Garnett is a co-director of the Practice, a lifestyle, rehabilitation, wellness, and high-performance facility and a director of Ace Models the Parks where she works with young people in helping them becoming the best versions of themselves.
“My passion for helping and healing people radiates from me. As a bio-kineticist, I have noticed that there are so many people who need biokinetic services but can’t afford it, and so I would love to be able to help them by offering services to those who need it,” said Garnett.
She said that the Mrs Africa platform and title will help her in achieving some of her goals and passions in working with people.
“I want to assist the underprivileged ones especially in helping to make them healthy. It breaks my heart to know the world is so unfair, especially when it comes to health and access to it,”
“Being a bio-kineticist is a passion for me, but I believe I have so much more to give by also helping those who can’t afford it,” said Garnett.
Another topic that resonates deeply with her is women supporting other women. Her aim is to empower women and ensuring they stand up for themselves.
“Women are strong and powerful – “they sometimes need to be gently reminded of this, by a woman who has been through much of the same that they have, and to show them how to come out on the other side of fear”. said Garnett.
