Popi Tefo (24) from Hammanskraal, Dertig in Pretoria wrote an appreciation book for mothers all over the world. It took her roughly year and a half to write a book titled “I love you mom”. Finally, she has recently financed the publication of her book and published it.
This book expresses her deep appreciation for all mother who inspires, encourages and nurtures their children with constant love and support. In an exclusive interview with Gauteng News, the young author mentioned that she’s also a model, singer and an actor which separate her from ordinary authors.
She says that she was inspired by the love and care from her own and other mothers.
“When I get to hear each and every person story, I could realize the power of a woman that has raised and nurtured the person. And that woman happens to be the mother. So, each and every mother that I meet in my daily basis has contributed in inspiring me in writing my book,” Popi said.
She stated that it’s very rare for people to tell their mothers of how much they love and appreciate them.
“I had to summarise it as is a gift book for all the mothers across the world with no age estimated. Meaning that even the old aged can still get the book as a gift from their children and still be able to read it and finish it,” Popi said.
Popi added and said that her objectives of writing her book was to appreciate the sacrifices that are done by mothers.
“I had to view things from in a different manner, I had to become broad and think of my targeted people. I then made it very small and easy to read for yourself or even for someone else,” She added.
She further said that her mother and all mothers are the pillar of hope in good and bad times.
“My mom is one of the strongest women that I know or have ever heard or seen, she has been through a lot of challenges. Shutout to all our beautiful and strong mothers out there and also those who take care of orphans,”
“I also appreciate all the mothers who couldn’t make it to this day but have left a mark of love to their children.” She said.
