Water and Sanitation Ministry visits areas affected by water supply challenges in various parts of Gauteng, 26 to 27 Sept

Some parts of Gauteng have experienced acute water challenges recently due to different systematic challenges. To this end, the Minister of Water and Sanitation, Mr Senzo Mchunu, and his deputies, Mr David Mahlobo and Ms Judith Tshabalala had embarked on site visit to areas affected by water supply challenges across Gauteng on Tuesday and Wednesday, 26-27 September 2023.

Minister Mchunu kicked-off the visits to the hardest hit areas on Tuesday, 26 September 2023 to engage with community members in South Hills and Ebony Park in the City of Johannesburg.

On Wednesday, Minister Mchunu will visit Tshwane areas, while Deputy Ministers Mahlobo and Tshabalala will assess the extent of water challenges in Ekurhuleni.

The visits will be undertaken as follows:

Tuesday, 26 September 2023

  • South Hills
  • Oracle Secondary School, Ebony Park

Wednesday, 27 September 2023

  • Tsakane at 13h00
  • Soshanguve at 15h00
  • Waterkloof at 17h00
