Leon Gropp showcases his brilliance as musician

LeonGropp is not only an acclaimed guitarist and gifted vocalist, but also a well-known television presenter on the popular kykNET morning show, Ontbytsake.

His single, SWERWER, has just been released and showcases his brilliance as musician and songwriter. It was written by the artist himself and was produced by Douvoordag’s talented Jattie de Beer.

The song, which has already been playlisted by various radio stations, is about the cognitive dissonance that any thinker struggles with when confronted with conflicting ideas and beliefs within herself.

“Unfortunately, the world and our existence are not that simple. But there is also a great deal of freedom on the other side of this disillusionment,” Gropp explains about the meaning behind his latest release.

“SWERWER is a tribute to the seekers, doubters, disillusioned, pensive and logical.”

SWERWER follows in the successful footsteps of his debut single and music video, Bakenlig that was released in 2018 and was very well received.

Leon is a family man who enjoys spending time with his loved ones. He is best-known as former member of the guitar duo, CH2, with whom he won numerous awards – including Vonk, SAMA and Ghoema Awards for Best Instrumental Album.

When he is not on stage, he enjoys creating visual stories through creative marketing videos for small/ medium sized businesses.

He still has a lot of plans and dreams for the future and looks forward to sharing them with his fans.

SWERWER is now available on all digital platforms.
